Krowntex ST type metallic yarn is a wrapped metallic embroidery yarn (also sold as metallic embroidery thread or lurex embroidery thread) made by Ningbo MH: a 150D polyester core yarn is completely covered by 12-micron, 1/69-inch metallized film, so the yarn keeps the strength of a polyester thread while the visible surface stays fully metallic.

The 150D polyester core is completely covered by metallized film, so stitches read as an unbroken metallic surface instead of letting the core show under tension.
